The Medicine Hat Mavericks are excited to announce the renewal of their partnership with Prairie Rose School District, which began in January of this year. The collaboration includes the likes of Seven Persons, Irvine, Schuler, Senator Gershaw, and Bow Island (led by Mavs coach Chad Martin). Over 50 students in grades ranging from 4 to 9 partake in the Mavericks School of Baseball. The partnership allows for kids to sample the program as an option, rather than making a full-year commitment.
“The partnership with the Mavericks School of Baseball provides an opportunity for students to be coached by highly experienced and knowledgeable experts, enhancing athletic development, leadership, and interpersonal skills.” said Prairie Rose Superintendent Reagan Weeks.
“It’s been a pleasure working with the Prairie Rose school district, coaching their student athletes the ‘Mavericks way’ of baseball, but also, and more importantly, work ethic and accountability,” said Mavericks GM/owner Greg Morrison. “We’re looking forward to another fun-filled school year!”
