With one phone call in the spring of 2023, the Medicine Hat Mavericks found their games played leader.
A 20-year-old Johnny Vulcano was looking for a place to play summer ball after missing out on a spring season due to class eligibility. That phone call, and the chance taken on the Cloverdale, B.C. product, has re-written the Mavs’ history book.
